Modern Slavery Statement

YASHICOM’s commitment to ethical practices and the prevention of modern slavery and human trafficking in our operations and supply chain.

This statement is made pursuant to section 54 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and sets out the steps YASHICOM LTD (“YASHICOM”) has taken during the financial year to ensure that modern slavery and human trafficking do not occur in our business or in our supply chain. We are committed to acting ethically and with integrity in all our business relationships.

1. Our organisation

YASHICOM is a UK-based AI consulting and digital transformation company. We provide strategy, engineering, and delivery services to public and private sector clients. Our operations are primarily in the United Kingdom, with a remote-first workforce and a supply chain that includes technology vendors, cloud providers, and professional services.

2. Our policy on modern slavery

We have a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery and human trafficking. We are committed to ensuring that our operations and supply chain are free from such practices. We expect the same high standards from our suppliers, contractors, and partners. Our policies on ethics, procurement, and whistleblowing support this commitment and encourage the reporting of any concerns.

3. Our supply chain

Our supply chain includes providers of cloud infrastructure (e.g. AWS, Azure, GCP), software tools, and professional services such as recruitment and subcontracting. We assess risk based on the nature of the goods or services, the geography of the supplier, and the type of labour involved. We prioritise suppliers who demonstrate strong ethical and human rights practices and who publish their own modern slavery statements or equivalent commitments where applicable.

4. Due diligence and risk assessment

We conduct due diligence on new and existing suppliers where appropriate to the level of risk. This may include reviewing their policies, statements, and practices in relation to modern slavery and human rights. For higher-risk categories we may require contractual commitments and evidence of compliance. We do not knowingly engage with suppliers that fail to meet our expectations in this area.

5. Training and awareness

We ensure that our people understand the risks of modern slavery and their role in preventing it. Relevant staff involved in procurement or supplier management are made aware of our policy and of how to identify and escalate concerns. We will continue to develop training and awareness as our operations and supply chain evolve.

6. Effectiveness and reporting

We monitor the effectiveness of our approach through our procurement and supplier management processes and through any reported incidents. We will take corrective action where we identify non-compliance or risk. This statement will be reviewed and updated annually and published on our website.

7. Approval

This statement has been approved by the leadership of YASHICOM LTD and applies to the financial year ending in 2026. For questions or to report a concern, please contact us at hello@yashicom.co.uk.
